29- Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles

I didn't like their debut but it seems like CC improved theirselves. It has great hits like Not In Love, Intimate, Baptism... Worth to listen.
Açıkçası ilk albümlerine hiç ısınamamıştım. Görünen o ki kendilerini çok geliştirmişler ve bu sefer iyi bir albüm yapmayı başarmışlar. Not In Love, Intimate ve Baptism gibi hit olabilecek şarkıları barındıran albüm dinlemeye değer.

28. Kate Nash - My Best Friend is You (Fiction)

Ok, Made of Bricks is my favourite but this album also has taste. Some people compare her with Lily Allen but no she is 10 ways better than her, believe me. I feel happy when I listen Kate Nash, my mood changes immediately.
Made of Bricks albümü kesinlikle favorimdir ama bu albümünde gideri var. Bazı insanlar onu Lily Allen'la karşılaştırıyor ama bence ondan 10 kat daha iyi, inanın bana. Kate Nash dinlediğim zaman mutlu oluyorum, modum anında değişiyor.

27 - Karen Elson - The Ghost Who Walks (XL/Third Man)

I wrote about her album before here. I'm a fan of Jack White and now I'm a fan of his wife too. This album is lyrically pretty and her voice is too. Hope that she continues to sing.

Bu albüm hakkında daha önce burada yazmıştım. Jack White'ın büyük bir hayranı olarak artık eşininde hayranıyım. Bu albüm sözleri açısından çok güzel ve tabii Karen Elson'ın sesi de öyle. Umarım şarkı söylemeye devam eder.

26 - Kid Cudi - Man On The Man II: The Legend of Mr. Rager (G.O.O.D.)

Lots of featurings, super beats and Kid Cudi's talent made this album great. You know he is on Kanye West's label, so you can feel the touch of that. (By the way Kanye's new album is not on my list, cause haven't listened it yet, waiting for that storm ends)
Şarkıların yarısında ona eşlik eden birileri var. Süper ritmler ve Kid Cudi'nin yeteneği var. E bunlar bu albümü iyi yapmaya yetiyor. Bildiğiniz gibi Kid Cudi Kanye West'in kanatları altında, şarkılarda bazen o dokunuşu hissedebiliyorsunuz. (Henüz Kanye West'in yeni albümünü dinlemedim, şu fırtınası bir geçsinde o zaman bakarız.)

25- The Drums - The Drums (Island Records- Moshi Moshi)

I love this New Yorker boys. They have catchy melodies and 80's breeze which is so sweet. I bet they are great festival band.
Bu New York'lu çocukları çok seviyorum. Akılda kalıcı melodileri var. Hemde 80'lerin esintilerini yansıtmışlar müziklerine, ki bu da çok tatlı birşey. Eminim ki The Drums çok iyi bir festival grubudur. Mesaj bi yerlere gitse keşke!

24- She and Him - Volume II (Merge)

I have a crush on Zooey Deschanel! Zooey Deschanel is not typical Hollywood actress turned into singer. She really have a talent. She writes with M. Ward and sings very well. The fact is Volume II is better than I, so that means she makes it all great together - acting and singing. Go on Zoeey!
Zoeey Deschanel'e resmen bayılıyorum! Oyunculuktan şarkıcılığa dönen tipik Hollywood tiplerinden biri değil bir kere. Gerçekten yeteneği var. M. Ward'la birlikte yazdığı şarkı yazıyor ve o cici sesiyle söylüyor. Gerçek şu ki Volume II, I'i solladı bence. Bu da demek ki Zooey şarkıcılığı da oyunculuğu da şarkıcılığı da çok iyi yapıyor. Yürü kim tutar seni!

23 - The National - High Violet (4AD)

They tell us their ordinary life so it makes them one of us. We feel close to this band cause they don't lie. They made great albums before but this one is my favourite.
Onlar bize sıradan hayatlarını anlatıyorlar ve bu da onları bizden biri yapıyor. Kendimizi onlara yakın hissediyoruz çünkü yalan söylemiyorlar. Bundan önce çok iyi albümler yaptılar ama bu benim favorimdir.

22- Hot Chip - One Life Stand (Astralwerks)

Isn't it great album name? I really liked it. This album is not so different from classic Hot Chip sound. Actually I've waited for something more, cause this band is really powerful and got a potencial to go forward. Cause The Warning make me believe that Hot Chip is a great band and have great future. So, it's not less or more from The Warning(2nd and best album of Hot Chip) but if you like Hot Chip sound and happy for little things you can satisfy.
Albümün ismini çok beğendim, sizcede çok güzel değil mi? Bu albüm klasik Hot Chip sound'undan pek uzak değil. Aslında ben onlardan çok daha fazlasını bekliyordum çünkü potansiyeli yüksek bir grup. En azından The Warning bende o hissi uyandırmıştı. Bu albüm The Warning'den ne fazla ne de eksik, eğer küçük şeyler sizi mutlu ediyorsa ve Hot Chip'i seviyorsanız bu albüm sizi tatmin edebilir.

21- The Walkmen - Lisbon (Fat Possum)

Lisbon is full of sadness, heartbreaking stories but they express it in most soft way. This album is so warm.
Lisbon üzüntü ve kalp kırıklıklarıyla dolu bir albüm ama grubun bunu anlatış şekli çok yumuşak. Çok sıcak bir albüm.

20. Hurts - Happiness (RCA)

No doubt, Wonderful Life is one of the most delicate single of the year. I listened it a lot but still not bored. This album is like adaptation of 80s. Ok there is some cliches but this doesn't mean its a bad album. On the contrary its realy great with powerful ballads and synth beats. 8.5(with stars) from 10 to these gentlemen from me. I love synthpop!
Wonderful Life hiç kuşkusuz bu yılın en iyi single'larından biri. O kadar çok dinledim ki ama hala bıkmış değilim. Albüm 80lerin günümüze uyarlanmış şekli gibi sanki. Klişeler olabilir ama bu Happiness'i kesinlikle kötü bir albüm yapmıyor. Benden jilet gibi beyefendilere yıldızlı bir 8.5. Synthpop'u seviyorum!

19- Janelle Monae - The ArchAndroid (Bad Boy, Wondaland Arts Society)

She is like mixing of Michael Jakcson and Outkast. When I first listened her I didn't know that she is connected with Outkast (she met to Big Boi from Outkast and then have songs together so this affects her music). So energic and powerful album. Better than most of popular R&B women.
Janelle, Michael Jackson'la Outkast'in bir karışımı gibi. Onu ilk dinlediğimde Outkast'la bir bağı olduğunu bilmiyordum ama ilk albümünden sonra onunla tanışmış ve daha sonra birlikte şarkı yapmışlar. Enerji dolu ve güçlü bir albüm. Piyasadaki en popüler R&B'i yıldızlarından çok daha iyi.

18- Owen Pallett - Heartland (Domino)

He stole my heart with his violin. We're lucky to see him on the stage live. He took us to another world with his violin and dreamy voice.
Owen Pallett kemanıyla kalbimi çaldı. Onu sahnede izleyebilenler olarak şanslıyız. Bizi rüya gibi sesi ve kemanıyla bambaşka bir dünyaya götürdü.

17- Athena - Pis (Pasaj)

Only Turkish album on my list (sure there is lot of great bands like Gevende, The Revolters, Multitap, 123, Post Dial etc.). Athena is the only punk-ska band in Turkey. I listened them since '98 when I was 12! They worked with Mike Nielsen as a producer. Result is perfect, this is my favourite Athena album so far. I really missed to listen something like that.
Athena bu albümde daha önce Jamiroquai ile çalışan Mike Nielsen'le çalışmış. Sonuç gerçekten mükemmel. İngiltere'de yaşamakta onların müziklerine olumlu yönde bir etki etmiş olmalı. En sevdiğim Athena albümü kesinlikle Pis.

16- Kele - The Boxer (Polydor)

When my favorite bands make other projects I feel excited. So when I heard that Kele is going solo (without Bloc Party) I was curious about it. He didn't dissapoint me, this album is great. Everything You Wanted is perfect song.
Sevdiğim gruplar başka projelere yönelince heyecanlanıyorum. O yüzden Kele'nin solo olarak takılacağını duyduğumda neler olacağını baya merak etmiştim. Hayal kırıklığına uğramadım, albüm baya iyi. Tabii ki Bloc Party'den farklı, aynı şeyi beklemeyin. Everything You Wanted harika bir şarkı.

15- Wolf Parade - Expo 86 (Sub Pop)

If you ever listened old Wolf Parade albums before, this makes you surprised. Cause songs are up-beat and makes you dance. I didn't expect something like that from Wolf Parade. For sure this is better than depressive songs.
Daha önce Wolf Parade albümlerinden birini dinlemişseniz bu albüm sizi şaşırtacaktır. Çübkü şarkılar yüksek tempolu hatta bazılarında dans edebilirsiniz bile. Wolf Parade'den böyle birşey beklemiyordum ama kesinlikle depresif şarkılarından çok daha iyidir.

14- The Roots - How I Got Over (Def Jam)

Most tweeting band(after Best Coast) in my list! This legendary band knows how to do music. This album has everything. Soul, indie rock collaborations, rap, orchestra sound... Its just mixed flawless.
Listemdeki Best Coast'tan sonra en fazla tweet'leyen grup! Bu efsanevi grup nasıl müzik yapacağını çok iyi biliyor. İçinde her şey var, soul, indie rock işbirliği, rap, orkestra... Kusursuzca harmanlanmış.

13- Interpol - Interpol (Matador)

I know this is not a perfect album for Interpol. Actually little frustrating but this is Interpol and I know they will do it better next time.
Biliyorum bu Interpol'e göre çok iyi bir albüm değil. Açıkçası biraz hayal kırıklığı ama işte Interpol bu. Bir daha ki sefere daha iyi olacaklarını biliyorum.

12- Klaxons - Surfing The Void (Polydor)

Klaxons is not repeating themselves in this album. You feel its the same band but sounds little different in a positive way.
Klaxons bu albümde kendini tekrarlamamış. Aynı grup olduklarını ama biraz farklı olduklarını hissedebiliyorunuz-olumlu yönde.

11- Delphic - Acolyte (Polydor)

Oh it was the best album of the January. I was so thrilled when listened their debut "Acolyte". I was listened Clarion Call and Halycon for a long time! It was my Delphic craziness month. If you didn't watch "This Momentary" video, you should - won the best cinematographic video award in UK video music awards. Manchester based Delphic is one of the great indietronic band of the year.
Ocak ayının en süper albümüydü bu. İlk dinlediğimde çok heyecanlanmıştım hatta sürekli Clarion Call ve Halycon'u dinleyip duruyordum. Böyle çılgınca bir ay geçmişti :) Manchester çıkışlı Delphic yılın en iyi indietronic grubu bence. İzlememişseniz en iyi sinematografi ödülü alan "This Momentary" klibine bir göz atmalısınız.
